The Olympus Pen EE is a fully automatic half-frame viewfinder camera introduced in 1961, part of the Pen line conceived by Yoshihisa Maitani. As a half-frame design it captures 72 shots from a single 36-exposure roll, doubling the frame count of standard 35mm. It pairs a fixed-focus D.Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 Tessar-type lens with a selenium-cell automatic exposure system, requiring no batteries. Pocketable, simple and reliable, the Pen EE remains one of the most beloved half-frame cameras for casual and street photography.
